About Jarred Fenlason

Jarred Fenlason, D.Min., is an author, translator, and the founder of Encounter Press. He has spent most of his life trying to find words for something that arrived before he had the language for it — a weight behind the ordinary world that pressed through at seventeen in a canyon, at thirty in a warehouse, and at the desk on a thousand mornings when the words on the page were heavier than his eye could hold.
He holds a Doctor of Ministry from United Theological Seminary and an MA in Christian Leadership from Liberty University. His discipleship work has trained over 200 pastors across six countries.
Original Works
- The Interval: The Brief Window That Shapes Your Eternal Soul — on the unrepeatable window of formation between conversion and death.
- The Man Who Knew God: The Life of Walter Beuttler — the first full-length biography of the Pentecostal Bible teacher Walter Beuttler.
- Encounter Discipleship — an 8-week interactive small group discipleship program.
Translations & Editions
His translations and editions of Gerhard Tersteegen and Jean de Bernières grew from a desire to bring voices that still carry the heat of what they stood inside into the hands of English readers.
- Hidden in God: The Life and Writings of Gerhard Tersteegen — the most comprehensive English collection of Tersteegen's writings in nearly 200 years.
- The Spiritual Flower Garden — the first complete English translation of Tersteegen's Geistliches Blumengärtlein.
- The Mystic of Caen — the first English translation of the original letters of Jean de Bernières.
- Intra Muros: My Dream of Heaven — an annotated edition of Rebecca Ruter Springer's classic.
The soul that suspects there is more deserves to know the door is open.
Jarred lives in the foothills of North Carolina with his wife, Rochelle. They have three adult children.
